Riverview Beef

During the seasons that allow it, our grass-fed cattle spend their time foraging on pasture. During the winter months, they always have access to pasture, are never confined to a barn or feedlot, and are supplemented seasonally with hay. They are never fed antibiotics or added hormones, and they stay active on pasture year-round.

When you eat beef from Riverview Farms, you can feel great about supporting sustainable agricultural practices and knowing exactly where your beef comes from.

How To Purchase

Grass fed beef is available by the whole or quarter. We do request a deposit to reserve your order, and once the processing date nears we will be in touch for a more accurate timeline, instructions, and to answer any questions about processing.

Options & Specifications

While the hanging weight is different for each animal, over the last number of years the hanging weights for a quarter beef have been in the 175–200 pound range, 350–400 pound range for a half, and 700–800 pound range for whole (this varies from animal to animal)!

Is your beef grass-fed or grain-fed?

Our cattle spend their days foraging. They are grass and forage fed.

How are you cattle housed?

Animals live 100% on pasture at all times, with no confinement housing, only natural things such as woods to protect them from the elements.

What are your field management practices and sustainable agriculture practices?

We do not use pesticides or fertilizers, we practice a rotational grazing plan to best utilize and preserve the land.

Do you breed your own cattle?

Animals are bred using artificial insemination. We don't keep bulls on the farm. AI breeding is done by us at the farm.
